Round 6, 184th Overall

WR. Austin Watkins. Scouting Report. UAB. 6. player. 54. Pick Analysis

After selecting Devonta Smith with their first-round pick, I think the Philadelphia Eagles would be wise to double-dip at the position so that’s exactly what I have them doing in this mock draft. So in the sixth-round, I have the Eagles selecting an intriguing red-zone weapon out of UAB in Austin Watkins.

Watkins is a big-bodied downfield threat with terrific hands. He averages over 17 yards per reception in his career and would add a physical jump ball target to the mix in Philly.

Round 6, 218th Overall

Scouting Report. DT. player. 6. 885. Pick Analysis. Temple. Ifeanyi Maijeh

Ifeanyi Maijeh had a highly productive 2019 season, tallying 10.5 tackles for loss and five sacks from the interior of the Temple Owls 4-3 defense. While he hasn’t found the same production in 2020, he has showcased some moldable tools that would make him a nice get late in the sixth-round for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He fits that mold of the undersized three-tech that uses his size to his advantage by staying low and stacking linemen to create interior pressure.

The Eagles have invested a lot of money into their defensive tackle group but durability has been an issue. They could use some young depth to add to the mix, so I like this pick in the sixth round of this mock draft.

Round 7, 227th Overall

873. Texas AM. Myles Jones. 7. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB

The Philadelphia Eagles lack size at the cornerback position and there are few that can match the stature of Texas A&M Aggie, Myles Jones. Listed at a towering 6-foot-4 and looking every bit of it, Jones would be a valuable special teams addition and is a quality developmental option that would be a fun get to close out this 2021 mock draft.

If Philadelphia is able to land half of the caliber players listed in this mock draft, they could turn things around sooner than later.
