This Philadelphia Eagles seven-round 2021 mock draft puts an emphasis on adding players that would make an instant impact in year one.

The Philadelphia Eagles have faced quite a bit of criticism in 2020 and for good reason. They have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season, and while Carson Wentz is the face of their struggles, their roster as a whole has proven to have plenty of problems.

Like many other teams around the league, the Eagles have had their fair share of injury issues and that has really shone a light on just how thin they are at key positions. Their wide receiver and defensive back groups get the most scrutiny for how poor they have played but you can look at every unit on that team and see areas that need improvement.

Their offense is 29th in the league in yards per play behind the Bengals, Bears, and Jets, and they have turned the ball over more times than everybody except the Broncos and Cowboys.

The defensive side of the football hasn’t been any better. They’re 25th in the league against the run and they’ve only managed to come down with three interceptions on the season. That’s tied for dead last in the NFL.

Head coach Doug Pederson and general manager Howie Roseman are starting to sour on the fan base, and while I don’t believe either of them is on the hot seat quite yet, they will need to make some big offseason moves to right the ship if they want that to remain so.

Luckily for the Philadelphia Eagles, the 2021 NFL Draft has some big-time talent at major positions of need for them. If things continue on the trajectory they’re on now, Philly would end up with the sixth overall pick, which would give them a shot to land a blue-chip caliber player at the top of the first.

In this mock draft, I have the birds landing difference-makers on both sides of the football, while also adding competition to positions that are desperate for depth.
