2021 NFL Draft: Chicago Bears trade up for QB in two-round mock draft
Last year, the Green Bay Packers drafted quarterback Jordan Love in the first round, much to the dismay of Packers fans everywhere. The team had just made it to the NFC Championship Game with Aaron Rodgers when it was clear that he did not have sufficient weapons to put them over the top.
I’m willing to bet that they don’t make the same mistake again. I suppose they could find a piece to help out their defense, but Green Bay needs to find more weapons for Rodgers and Love. Rondale Moore would be the perfect fit.
With Rondale Moore it’s all about speed. Moore is one of the fastest players in college football and it shows every time he is on the field. Moore is a dangerous deep threat with that speed and elite ball tracking skills. If he has a quarterback that can hit him in stride when he has a step, he could look a little like Tyreek Hill.
Without that quarterback at Purdue, Moore often had to take matters into his own hands. Simple screens and drags would turn into 70 and 80-yard touchdowns with Moore’s speed and elusiveness. He doesn’t have just straight-line speed. Moore is as shifty as they come and has incredible burst once he gets out in open space.
Having Moore to lighten the load and take the top off for Davante Adams could be amazing for the Green Bay offense. Even when Rodgers does move on, Moore should be the perfect target for a big-armed gunslinger like Jordan Love.
