Linebacker. 24. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 53. Alabama. Dylan Moses. player

Man, what a shock this is for Cleveland Browns fans. The Browns pick always seems to be at the top of the draft. For it to be in the 20s? They must have finally figured things out.

Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski have gotten the Browns into a great position to be successful for the next handful of years, at least. But there are a couple of areas that the team is lacking, particularly on defense.

Hopefully, once guys like Grant Delpit and Greedy Williams are able to come back from injury the secondary will be bolstered a bit. But the one glaring need the Cleveland Browns is still at linebacker.

Guys like Mack Wilson, Sione Takitaki, Malcolm Smith, and B.J. Goodson have stepped it up lately, but the front office definitely still needs to add more talent to that room. Dylan Moses seems like a perfect candidate to me.

Moses was widely viewed as a top linebacker prospect heading into last year’s draft, but a season-ending ACL injury led him back to Alabama instead of the draft and apparently down draft boards for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Even this season, Moses is still displaying his incredible athleticism following his injury. He can roam sideline to sideline tackling ball carriers and bursting into the backfield to make big plays for a loss.

Moses is the signal-caller for the Alabama defense, so he clearly has a high football IQ and displays it each and every week. Moses always seems to know where to be and always has his hand in on seemingly every play.

While he isn’t utilized a ton in coverage, mostly staying up in the box blitzing or spying, Moses has shown a capability to hold his own there as well. Reuniting him with his former Bama teammate in Wilson should stand to benefit both of them.

Dylan Moses has top 10 talent and is a steal here at 24 for the Cleveland Browns. Moses should become the MIKE linebacker right away and take over the reins of an improving Cleveland Browns defense.
