Florida. Kyle Pitts. player. 87. Scouting Report. Tight End. 13. Pick Analysis

After moving down and collecting more draft capital, the Carolina Panthers get who I would have had them selecting at pick 7. The Panthers selected all defensive players last year, so this year they may look to add some offensive weapons in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The most dangerous weapon in the 2021 NFL Draft may very well be Florida tight end, Kyle Pitts. Pitts has been absolutely monstrous this season, destroying every defense he has faced. Pitts is really a big-body receiver who dominates over the middle of the field against slower linebackers and smaller defensive backs.

Pitts can really beat you in a variety of ways. His large frame allows him to shield off defenders and make important contested catches over the middle of the field. His size is also a benefit in the red zone, where he can go up and grab a “rebound” for a score.

But Pitts isn’t just a big body. His athleticism is what really sets him apart. He has the speed and agility to run sound, crisp routes and to make big plays with the ball in his hands. He can win at all levels of the field against any competition.

Look at what guys like Darren Waller, Travis Kelce, and even Chase Claypool have been doing this year in the NFL. A player like Pitts has the makings to be a real difference-maker at the next level. Adding a player like that to an offense that already has Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel? Look out.
