Jacksonville Jaguars seven-round 2021 NFL mock draft
Round 4, 103rd Overall
Elijah Moore has exploded into one of the most productive receivers in college football this season, putting up massive numbers in Lane Kiffin’s wide-open offensive attack. Through eight games, Moore has hauled in 86 receptions for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns as the primary weapon in Ole Miss’ arsenal.
Moore is an explosive athlete who changes directions well accelerates quickly. He is a sharp route runner who does a great job of creating space against man coverage and is a dangerous player with the ball in his hands. Moore also tracks the ball in the air extremely well and has the speed to take the top off of the defense consistently.
While wide receiver is not a massive position of need for the Jacksonville Jaguars, getting Fields as many offensive weapons as possible would be a strong plan of attack. Adding Moore to the mix here would give them an exciting playmaker who could come in and make life easier on their new quarterback.
Round 4, 126th Overall
Cornerback is a fairly large position of need for this team and they could certainly look to address the position before this range of the draft. That being said, proper cornerback value was not available to the Jags in this mock until they were able to snag Deommodore Lenoir here in the fourth round.
Lenoir is a strong athlete at the cornerback position who is smooth and under control in coverage. He is a sticky man-to-man defender who also shows solid overall ball skill. Lenoir is also a physical player who is not afraid to come up and offer support against the run. Nice value pick for the Jags here at a position that they need help.
Round 5, 142nd Overall
The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have found something in James Robinson, an undrafted rookie running back out of Illinois State. Robinson has been fantastic for Jacksonville this season and will be an important part of their future going forward. That being said, they do lack proper depth at the running back position and could look to address that in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Javian Hawkins is an extremely fast and explosive running back prospect who is a threat to take it to the house from anywhere on the field. He sees his blocks well and shows impressive burst through the hole once he finds the crease. Hawkins lacks any sort of power element to his game, but he could certainly be an immediate weapon for this team as a change of pace back.
