Baltimore Ravens 7-round 2021 mock draft: Help for Lamar Jackson
Baltimore Ravens 7-round 2021 mock draft.
The Baltimore Ravens had the best team in the NFL in the 2019 regular season. Although they were knocked out of the playoffs, they figured to once again be among the NFL’s toughest teams in 2020.
With each passing week in 2020, it’s getting increasingly tougher for the Baltimore Ravens to not only defend their AFC North crown, but even to make the postseason at all.
What happens if this team, which was 14-2 and dominant on both sides of the ball a season ago, misses out on the postseason?
The good news is, the Ravens don’t need to rebuild, but there are some spots on their roster that could stand to reload.
The 2021 NFL Draft has some positions of strength that could greatly benefit the Baltimore Ravens. Here’s a 7-round mock draft for this team to continue supporting Lamar Jackson.
First-round pick (18th overall)
While Hollywood Brown is a tremendous deep threat and speed receiver, the Baltimore Ravens currently lack a player who could eat a bulk of targets and win to every level of the field consistently.
Although these are lofty comparisons, Rashod Bateman has been compared by some to Michael Thomas, and others to Keenan Allen.
The Ravens would take any iteration of either receiver, and Bateman certainly has the route-running skills, big-play ability, and ball tracking to excel early on in his NFL career.
When all is said and done, Bateman could establish himself as arguably the WR2 of this tremendous 2021 class, especially given Jaylen Waddle’s season-ending injury.
