Round 4, 108th Overall

Tylan Wallace. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 53. WR. Oklahoma State. 4

The Cleveland Browns don’t have a dire need at wide receiver. As of now they run a two wide receiver set and have Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. on the roster. Baker Mayfield also has chemistry with Rashard Higgins and starting to see more out of KhaDarel Hodge. Regardless, in the fourth round, it will be hard to pass up a player like Wallace.

In 2018, Wallace tallied 1,491 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns but had a dip in performance last year with just 903 receiving yards and eight scores. This season through seven games he has 780 yards and only five scores.

There have been flashes of what Wallace could turn into, so taking him in the fourth round should provide a low risk-high reward opportunity for Cleveland.

Round 4, 125th Overall

Tennessee. Cade Mays. 4. player. Pick Analysis. OL. 53. Scouting Report

The Cleveland Browns offensive line has made big strides moving into the 2020 season and the 2021 NFL Draft will provide an opportunity to add depth. Cade Mays transferred to Tennessee from Georgia and can play anywhere on the line.

Having versatile depth like Mays allows teams to roster fewer offensive linemen and creates flexibility to address more positions on the roster. To grab someone of that caliber with high upside in the late fourth round is a great pick for the Browns.

Round 5, 165th Overall

Pick Analysis. DT. 5. West Virginia. Dante Stills. player. 53. Scouting Report

The absence of Andrew Billings has hurt the interior of the Browns’ defensive line, but they’ve been able to make it work with what they have. Like Wallace and Mays, Stills is a late-round luxury pick with upside.

With West Virginia, Stills hasn’t been known for tackles but instead has been strong in the backfield. Over 28 games with West Virginia, Stills has been able to log 27 tackles for loss and 13 sacks. There’s work to be done, but there is a clear upside in his game.

Round 6, 201st Overall

TE. NC State. 53. 6. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cary Angeline

There is an increasing possibility that David Njoku will be moved before the 2021 season, leaving a hole at tight end for the Browns. Austin Hooper and Harrison Bryant and have been impressive, but the Browns use three tight ends rather frequently.

At 6-foot-7, 250 Cary Angeline would be the perfect tight end for Cleveland’s system. He has a big body to block on run plays, the core of the Browns’ offense, but also the ability to catch passes as well.

Over his three years so far, Angeline has 59 catches for 936 and 12 touchdowns. All around, his skill set would fit well into what the Browns are trying to do with the position.

Round 7, 245th Overall

LB. player. Northwestern. Paddy Fisher. 7. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 53

I have a hard time believing that Paddy Fisher will fall to the seventh round, but in this case, he does. Double-dipping at linebacker is something that the Cleveland Browns should consider, especially if a player like Fisher is on the board.

Fisher registered over 100 tackles in each of his first two seasons at Northwestern for a combined total of 227 tackles over 27 games, averaging over eight tackles a game. His numbers dropped in 2019 to 88 tackles and a lack of games in 2020 hasn’t helped his case.

Should he fall to the seventh, this would be an incredible way for the Browns to cap off their 2021 NFL Draft.
