Northwestern. 8. player. 58. Scouting Report. Rashawn Slater. Pick Analysis. OT

At this particular point in time, this pick would come off as a major shock.

In a few months, maybe it won’t.

It was shocking to see Slater as the OL1 on Daniel Jeremiah’s initial top five over Penei Sewell, and Washington is stuck in a tough spot here.

They have clear needs at both QB and LT since it appears as though they are moving on from Dwayne Haskins, but what if they give Haskins another shot to compete? They need to put the best players they possibly can around him, and it starts up front on the offensive line.

Slater hasn’t generated much top 10 hype at this point but if the scouting community views him as a top 10-20 player, he could easily go inside the top-10 picks to a team as desperate for tackle help as the Washington Football Team.
