2021 NFL Draft: Team jumps into top 10 for QB in 2021 mock draft
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been keeping pretty close pace with the New York Jets all throughout the 2020 season, save for their week one victory.
Jacksonville, losers of 10 straight, look the part of a team that desperately wants a piece of Trevor Lawrence.
Lucky for the Jags, they have options even if they don’t keep pace enough with the Jets to get the top overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Justin Fields is one of those options, although Zach Wilson may be closing the gap more than we know or think.
With just over one full year of starting experience, there is no question that Fields is merely scratching the surface of how good he can be, and he’s been very good.
He had a clunker against Indiana, but still accounted for three touchdowns in a win. He proved he’s able to overcome adversity even within the confines of four quarters of a game.
Fields has a compact delivery, effortless velocity on his throws, and he can obviously make plays on the move. He is the type of playmaker that whoever the new Jaguars’ general manager is will want at the centerpiece of their rebuild offensively.
