Pick Analysis. LB/EDGE. Zaven Collins. 17. player. Scouting Report. Tulsa. 28

The Las Vegas Raiders are always good for one really surprising pick every draft, right?

Mike Mayock, when he was in the TV business, was always known for a few wild cards in his top-five positional rankings.

This selection would be a reasonable reflection of something Mike Mayock might do with his draft board.

Zaven Collins is not a bad player, by any means, and he’s actually gaining some legit hype as a first-round pick lately.

The Tulsa star linebacker and pass rusher can really do a little bit of everything for your defense whether you’re asking him to play sideline to sideline or get after the quarterback.

At 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, he is built like a defensive end and he runs like he’s about 30 pounds lighter. He has 33 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and two defensive touchdowns in just six games this season.
