Christian Darrisaw. 13. player. 13. Virginia Tech. Pick Analysis. OT. Scouting Report

The Los Angeles Chargers have seen a tremendous breakthrough from rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, who is on an NFL-record pace as a rookie passer.

Herbert’s excellent play to open his NFL career will be for naught though if the Chargers can’t properly protect him.

One of the biggest risers in the 2020 college football season at any position right now is Virginia Tech offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw.

Darrisaw has proven himself to be a physical presence on the line before, but he’s taken huge strides this season as a pass protector and looks like one of the most well-rounded players at his position.

For the Chargers, this mock draft involved a trade down with the Chicago Bears. To pick up extra selections (whatever those would look like, likely involving a future first-round pick) and still come away with a player like Darrisaw would be amazing for the Chargers and their young quarterback.
