Washington Football Team: Three-round 2021 NFL mock draft recap
Washington Football Team: 3-round 2021 mock draft recap.
The Washington Football Team is going to be a fascinating squad to follow throughout the 2021 offseason.
Just over a year after using their top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft on Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins, it appears as though the team is clearly looking into going a different direction.
Haskins opened the 2020 season as Washington’s starter at quarterback but was benched in favor of Kyle Allen. When Allen went down with an injury, it was veteran Alex Smith, coming off of a gruesome injury and grueling recovery, who took the reins for Washington.
Washington has won three games so far in the 2020 season with six left to play, so they are presently projected for a top-five pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
If that holds, they will be in prime real estate to get at least one of the top four quarterbacks in this class if they don’t have their choice between a couple of them.
Unfortunately, uncertainly at quarterback is merely one of a number of glaring needs for this Washington team. They need help on both sides of the ball, particularly in the secondary and on the offensive line.
How might Washington use their top three picks in the 2021 NFL Draft?
Dan Schmelzer recently put together a three-round mock draft with some really intriguing fits for this team. Let’s recap all of Washington’s four selections.
