Vikings 2021 mock draft: Pass rush or pass protection early?
The Vikings do not have a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, which is a huge bummer for them considering how thin they look on the defensive front.
With their top pick in the third round, they get Florida State’s Marvin Wilson, once thought to be a sure-fire first-round player whose stock has dipped significantly since a season-ending injury he suffered in 2019.
The Vikings take a shot on Wilson here in the third round and hope he can recapture his early 2019 form.
Wilson has the ability to be a disruptive player on the defensive interior and even if he’s a two-down player early on for a team like the Vikings, he would bring tremendous value.
The Vikings currently rank 22nd in the league in rushing yards allowed, and Wilson would instantly upgrade that area.
