2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 25th Overall

South Carolina. Jaycee Horn. Scouting Report. CB. player. 16. Pick Analysis. 25

The Buffalo Bills are a talented team with impact players on both sides of the ball. Josh Allen is never going to be a perfect player, but he has taken his game to the next level this season. With enough help, Allen could be the right guy to lead Buffalo to the promised land.

Cornerback stands out as the top position of need for the Bills. Tre’Davious White has one side of the field locked down, but the Bills have struggled to maintain strong play opposite of him. Luckily for them, Jaycee Horn is still on the board and is undoubtedly worthy of this pick.

Horn is the son of New Orleans Saints’ legendary wide receiver Joe Horn and has the coverage skills that would have given his dad a run for his money in his prime. Horn is extremely tough and physical at the line of scrimmage, pressing hard and having the quick feet needed to keep up and recover if needed. Horn is also extremely physical at the catch point and does a great job of remaining calm when the ball is in the air.

He is most impressive when he is allowed to press receivers at the line of scrimmage, but he also shows impressive instincts in zone coverage. Horn reads the quarterback well and does a great job of locating and attacking the ball in the air. Simply put, this guy is a strong cover cornerback who has a high ceiling at the next level. The Bills have an obvious need at the cornerback position and Horn is a guy who could come in and help them immediately.
