2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 19th Overall

Scouting Report. WR. Minnesota. Rashod Bateman. 19. Pick Analysis. player. 54

The Philadelphia Eagles taking a wide receiver in the first round of back-to-back drafts may seem unlikely, but they simply cannot ignore their current situation at the position. Carson Wentz has continued to struggle this season and their lack of weapons in the passing game is at least partially to blame. Last year, they took the speedster when they snagged Jalen Reagor at No. 21. In this mock draft, the Eagles find a more complete receiver in Rashod Bateman.

Bateman is another premier receiver in the loaded 2021 NFL Draft class. He has nice size and fantastic contested-catch ability. Bateman is also a premier route runner who always seems to find open space in the defense and is a massive weapon with the ball in his hands. He is a solid deep threat who tracks the ball in the air extremely well and also does a fantastic job of taking a short pass and creating after the catch.

Simply put, Bateman is a fantastic natural playmaker at the wide receiver position who has massive upside at the next level. The Philadelphia Eagles should be looking to remake their wide receiver room over the offseason and adding Bateman to the mix would undoubtedly be a major step in the right direction.
