2021 NFL Draft order update and NFL week 11 scenarios.

The 2021 NFL Draft order is slowly coming into focus, but with just under half the season to play for some teams, there is still plenty yet to be decided.

The top of the 2021 NFL Draft right now is the New York Jets’ to lose, though the Jacksonville Jaguars are nipping at their heels.

Right now, there are 12 NFL teams with at least six losses. The NFL’s expansion to 14 playoff teams in 2020 has plenty of teams in the thick of things and will continue to do so throughout the season.

We’re going to look at the current 2021 NFL Draft order for teams with at least six losses and some of their scenarios for week 11 of the NFL season.

2021 NFL Draft order

1. New York Jets (0-9)
2. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8)
3. Washington Football Team (2-7)
4. Dallas Cowboys (2-7)
5. Los Angeles Chargers (2-7)
6. Miami Dolphins (from Texans) (2-7)
7. Cincinnati Bengals (2-6-1)
8. New York Giants (3-7)
9. Carolina Panthers (3-7)
10. Atlanta Falcons (3-6)
11. Denver Broncos (3-6)
12. San Francisco 49ers (4-6)

New York Jets

The Jets have a week 11 matchup against the 2-7 Los Angeles Chargers. Although Justin Herbert and the Bolts have lost some tough games and blown some big leads in recent weeks, it seems pretty clear that Herbert is in line to get his second NFL win if he plays like he has been most of his rookie season.

That would obviously push the Jets to 0-10 on the season and the Chargers would bump into the three-win category.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon, and this is a matchup the Steelers should absolutely feast on.

The Pittsburgh defense should overwhelm young Jake Luton to keep their undefeated season alive while Jacksonville will somewhat keep pace with the New York Jets for another week.

Washington Football Team

The Washington Football Team travels to Cincinnati for a very critical week 11 NFL matchup in terms of 2021 NFL Draft standing. The Bengals are 2-6-1 on the season and had really been gaining some steam over the past month or so, scoring 31 or more points in three of the five games leading up to their bye week. They scored 27 in another.

Washington has been cycling through quarterbacks and Alex Smith just threw a whopping 55 passes in a loss to the Detroit Lions.

This game could go either way but Joe Mixon going on IR means it could be a bit tougher for Cincinnati.

Dallas Cowboys

The 2-7 Dallas Cowboys are seemingly fish in a barrel with a poor defense and no Dak Prescott. They are playing the suddenly white-hot Minnesota Vikings.

Even with Andy Dalton back at the quarterback position, this is a game the Vikings should be able to take and push the Cowboys into the 8-loss category.

Houston Texans (Dolphins top pick)

The Miami Dolphins have watched the Houston Texans struggle this season with joy in their hearts. The Dolphins own the Texans’ top pick this year and Houston has a home game this weekend against the upstart New England Patriots.

Even as bad as the Texans have been overall this season, DeShaun Watson is a guy you can’t just chalk up a loss for on a weekly basis. The Texans could very well win this home game against the Patriots to move to 3-7 on the year.

The rest

The Carolina Panthers have a road matchup against the Detroit Lions, who have been up and down all season. With no Christian McCaffrey and potentially no Teddy Bridgewater, the Lions might get a great matchup to get to .500 on the season.

The Atlanta Falcons have been unlucky a number of times this season, but they’re also very good on offense despite what their record shows.

With no Drew Brees for the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta could get another win this week and push themselves further out of the top 10 discussion.

The Denver Broncos have a home game against the Miami Dolphins, winners of five straight. The Broncos haven’t yet decided if Drew Lock is going to play this week with injured ribs, but Lock’s play of late doesn’t seem to change all that much for the potential outlook of this game.

If Lock plays well, the Broncos have a shot. If he plays like he did against the Raiders? The Dolphins will get their sixth-straight win.
