2021 NFL Draft: Jets, Jaguars make trades in new 2021 NFL mock draft

Jaguars jump up to land Fields
Originally, I had this pick belonging to the Washington Football Team. But with so many needs in Washington and the recency effect of taking an Ohio State quarterback, Washington decides to trade down and acquire a second first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, now holding the fifth and 15th picks.
As for the Jaguars, they land their franchise quarterback in Justin Fields. The 2019 season was a breakout year for Fields and the 2020 season is off to an even better start, solidifying his value.
For a second, it looked like maybe Gardner Minshew could be the answer for Jacksonville, then they played a second game and that was proved wrong. Now with a different late-round quarterback in Jake Luton, the Jacksonville Jaguars have all but shown their hand for the 2021 NFL Draft.
While they could still take a good quarterback with the fifth pick, moving up to the second guarantees them Lawrence or Fields. For a franchise that has struggled to find a franchise quarterback since they joined the NFL, bouncing from guy to guy recently especially, they can’t miss on this pick. Moving up to the second pick drops those odds greatly from if they would have stayed at five.
