2021 NFL Draft: Jets, Jaguars make trades in new 2021 NFL mock draft

Green Bay finally takes a wide receiver
Another mock draft and another wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers. Will they finally take one in the 2021 NFL Draft? Who knows. Probably not. However, the reality is that they need more wide receivers. Davante Adams has been incredible, but they need a compliment to him on the other side of the field.
Devonta Smith has already proven to be a great complement wide receiver, whether it be with Henry Ruggs or Jerry Jeudy or Jaylen Waddle. One of Smith’s strengths is drawing coverage away from other receivers while utilizing his catches in space when the ball comes his way.
With Adams and Smith, the Packers can better use their two receivers that have emerged this season. Allen Lazard can go out wide in three wide receivers sets and push Smith to the slot. As for Marquez Valdes-Scantling, he would be a great red zone threat to bring in.
The Packers have done a great job using what they have, but it’s also still apparent that the offense needs more help. Smith fits into what they need and would allow the players there to have specific roles in the offense rather than just pushing them to the side.
