2021 NFL Draft: Jets, Jaguars make trades in new 2021 NFL mock draft

Colts add Waddle
The Indianapolis Colts have lacked a true top receiver this season. The role was previously held by T.Y. Hilton, but whether it be a regression or lack of chemistry, Hilton has had a down season in 2020 and it’s hurting the Colts’ offense.
Through eight games, the Indianapolis Colts don’t have a wide receiver that has topped 300 yards. Zach Pascal is close with 297, but that’s as close as anyone is. Hilton has just 254 yards and the team’s second-leading receiver is tight end Mo Alie-Cox with 274, and that includes two games where Alie-Cox didn’t catch a pass.
Last year, the Colts invested in Michael Pittman Jr., but he has played in just five games and has caught only 14 passes for 135 yards. Needless to say, Indianapolis needs pass catchers.
Jaylen Waddle is considered one of the best wide receivers in the class, if not the best. Alabama has produced wide receiver after wide receiver recently and Waddle is regarded as one of the best of the group.
This year, Waddle is averaging over 100 receiving yards a game and has four touchdowns through five games. The Colts have been far from that type of production in the passing game. Adding Waddle could give the Colts what Hilton once did. A downfield threat with speed to make short catches into big plays with one move.
