2021 NFL Draft: Jets, Jaguars make trades in new 2021 NFL mock draft

Another playmaker joins Tua
After taking Kyle Pitts earlier in the round, the Dolphins opt to add another playmaker to their backfield to assist Tua. While Miami has made strides this season, especially on the offensive side of the ball, they still lack a strong run game.
The Dolphins have used a handful of running backs this season with Myles Gaskin being the leading rusher with less than 400 yards through eight games. While Pitts would add a red zone and short route threat, Travis Etienne can take the pressure off by improving the run game while also being another reliable checkdown option in the backfield.
Etienne has been known for his rushing ability at Clemson, totaling at least 1,600 yards each of the last two seasons, but this year he has shown his ability in the passing game as well, increasing his draft stock.
Through just eight games so far in 2020, Etienne has already tied his career-high for receptions in a season with 37. He’s also found the end zone on two receptions while totaling 12 scores on the season overall.
Etienne would be the perfect compliment to Tua in the Dolphins’ backfield. While he’s always been strong on the ground, he’s now developing a better passing catching ability which could make him one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft.
