2021 NFL Draft: Jets, Jaguars make trades in new 2021 NFL mock draft

Dolphins give Tua in-state weapon
This pick comes to the Dolphins from the Houston Texans from the Laremy Tunsil trade and Miami uses it well. In the short span that we’ve been able to watch Tua Tagovailoa, he’s been impressive. However, upgrading the weapons around him will be something the Dolphins will need to look into this offseason.
While Mike Gesicki has been solid at the tight end position, it’s hard to argue against Kyle Pitts’ ability. He’s technically a tight end, but his style is similar to that of George Kittle in the way that he plays like a wide receiver.
Pitts has hauled in eight touchdowns this season on 24 catches, meaning every third ball he snags is ending up in the end zone. When it comes to a red zone threat, there might not be a better play in the draft than Pitts.
For young quarterbacks, a security blanket tight end can go a long way in terms of development. Whether it be a short pass in the red zone or a checkdown during the drive, Pitts would provide a huge target for Tua to find from both the pocket or when rolling out. Plus, his athleticism allows him to make plays after the catch, which will only help his case.
