2021 NFL Draft: New mock draft with Justin Fields, Zach Wilson rising
The Pittsburgh Steelers are undefeated through the first half of the 2020 season, thanks to their tremendous defense and the healthy return of Ben Roethlisberger.
Even in Roethlisberger’s absence in 2019, the Steelers’ defense was good enough to get them to the playoffs, but with Roethlisberger back and Chase Claypool in the mix offensively, this team has been a lot of fun to watch.
With Alejandro Villanueva on the final year of his contract and the Steelers hopefully having a long-term solution at right tackle in Chukwuma Okorafor, this could be the year Pittsburgh looks ahead to the future at offensive tackle and quarterback.
I’ve been campaigning for the Steelers to make a trade for Dwayne Haskins with the Washington Football team (among other teams), and I think that the situation is too perfect for Pittsburgh to ignore the possibilities.
With their weapons, the Steelers could spend a mid-round pick on Haskins and use their top pick on an ascending player in Jalen Mayfield, who has played mostly right tackle in his time with the Wolverines.
The Steelers could develop him to eventually be their left tackle.
