2021 NFL Draft: New mock draft with Justin Fields, Zach Wilson rising
The Arizona Cardinals have been struggling with cornerback depth for a few seasons now.
Adding a player like Shaun Wade here would not only be a necessity, though, he presents excellent value based on where he was projected heading into the season (potential CB1 candidate).
At this point, Wade has been much better as an inside player than on the outside, but he has the potential to play both spots in the NFL.
Although Wade’s play in 2020 has been inconsistent at best, he has the chance to turn things around over the course of the next couple of months and re-establish himself as a first-round caliber player.
The Cardinals have other options here at cornerback if they go that direction, notably someone like Georgia’s Eric Stokes, but Wade can play the versatile, primarily man coverage football Vance Joseph will need from him as a nickel or outside player.
