The 49ers have had so many injuries in 2020, it’s hard to really know what they think of their roster and players coming back from injury moving forward.
The interior offensive line was probably a need even before injuries, and injuries have amplified that need.
Wyatt Davis happens to be a great value at this pick anyway, even though interior offensive linemen are not often considered to be great values in general in the top 20 picks of the NFL Draft.
The 49ers are a not-so-sleeper team to be in the market for a new quarterback in 2021.
Would they be the team that trades for Sam Darnold and tries to fix him up?
Kyle Shanahan’s offense could be a perfect fit for Darnold and the 49ers certainly have the weapons to surround him.
Adding a player like Darnold to replace the oft-injured Jimmy Garoppolo and drafting Wyatt Davis on the interior line could boost the 49ers’ offense quickly.
