1. First round (from Texans): Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU

No matter if it was coming from Houston or if people were projecting the Miami Dolphins to be bad, this idea hasn’t changed a whole heck of a lot.

Ja’Marr Chase to Miami makes a lot of sense, and it would be a tremendous boost to the Miami offensive arsenal.

The 2019 Biletnikoff Award winner, Chase has every tool in the tool box you would look for at the wide receiver position.

He can separate in short areas, blow by defenders with speed, create yards after the catch, win at the catch point, and he makes big plays with a high degree of regularity.

Despite catching 84 passes last season, Chase averaged 21.2 yards per reception. That is an insane figure, no matter how good everyone else also was in LSU’s offense in 2019.

Chase opted out of the 2020 season so we aren’t getting to see him play this year, but fellow potential WR1 candidate Jaylen Waddle did not opt out and wound up breaking his ankle. You just never know what could happen out there and Chase’s draft stock has been safely preserved.
