2. Second round: Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

The Chargers undoubtedly need to address the offensive line in the 2021 NFL Draft, and if Cosmi is available in the second round, he will undoubtedly be an option.

Cosmi has the athleticism, length, and pass protecting ability to potentially be a first-round player at the tackle position, but does he have the consistency?

Coming into the 2020 season, many felt like Cosmi was a bit too raw to be penned into the first-round discussion, but this offensive tackle class doesn’t appear to be top-heavy in the least.

The Chargers traded Russell Okung in the 2020 offseason for Trai Turner, leaving a void at left tackle. Sam Tevi has played out there for them this year, and he’s also one of their many free agent offensive linemen in the offseason.

Protecting Herbert is going to be of paramount importance going forward, and the Chargers need to get that figured out ASAP.

A player like Cosmi in round two would be a great get for the Chargers.
