Carolina Panthers

Currently, the Carolina Panthers are the lowest picking team on this list, holding the 13th selection if the draft started today. While that is good news to fans of the Panthers, it should also be a bit shocking as most people were pegging them to be one of the worst teams in the league.

Carolina invested heavily in the defense during the 2020 NFL Draft and that seems to have made a big difference in their unexpected success so far this season. However, that’s just the beginning of what needs to happen in Carolina for them to return to their Super Bowl 50 form.

Moving back in the draft can add assets for the future to continue the rebuilding of the team. For the team’s new Head Coach Matt Rhule, that could go a long way. Having come from Baylor, he should be very familiar with the next few draft classes, so the more assets he can acquire the better.

This team is going to be built through the draft, so moving back a few spots to add more picks down the road is the way to go for the Panthers in the 2021 NFL Draft to help accelerate the rebuild to get back to the top.
