Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State

A strong linebacker to lead a defense can immediately change any defensive unit in the NFL. Micah Parsons has not only been able to prove his playing ability on the field but his leadership qualities as well. He’s an NFL captain in the making and is ready to wear the defensive headset on the field.

Playing all 13 games each of the last two seasons, Parsons has totaled 191 tackles, including 99 solo over just 26 games played for Penn State. Of those, 109 came during the 2019 season. During the 2019 season, he was also able to force four fumbles while recovering one. Parsons has also been active in the passing game, defending five passes, while also logging five sacks and 14 tackles for loss.

Parsons really has the ability to do it all on the defense, being able to contribute in so many different aspects of the game. From the pass rush to the pass defense, he’s able to find a way to disrupt.

That wide range ability of defense, paired with his leadership skills combine to form a player that can have a big impact on any team that decides to draft him, which should be early in the 2021 NFL Draft.
