2021 NFL Draft: Five prospects that can instantly transform their new team

Each year teams look in the draft for players that can transform their team. Here are five players in the 2021 NFL Draft who can do just that.

We’re still months away from the 2020 NFL season ending, let alone the 2021 NFL Draft beginning, but speculation of landing spots for the draft’s top prospects is in full swing. With two head coaches fired and more likely on the way, the landscape of the 2021 NFL Draft could look much different in just a few weeks’ time.

The New York Jets are the only winless team left in the league and currently hold the first pick of the draft if the season ended today. However, just one win for the Jets could transform the top of the draft. While the Jets are the only winless team, entering the week’s slate of games there are seven teams with just a single win, nine if you include the Bengals and Eagles who have a tie tacked on to the end of their record.

For the Jets, and many other teams in the draft, they will be looking for players that can turn their franchise around. Normally, it takes multiple players, but sometimes there are select players that can almost solely change the course of a franchise. In some cases, they serve as the missing link in others a culture shift.

The 2021 NFL Draft should be no different than past years with the possibility of turning out players that immediately change the course of the franchise that selects them. While we won’t know for a few years yet who actually made the difference if teams get turned around, we can speculate on who has the potential to do so.

Of all the players that are coming out and could declare for the 2021 NFL Draft, this handful of players are the best opportunity to change the course of the franchise that drafts them. While in the end, it could be anyone from the draft class, these players have the highest potential to be the difference-maker.
