2020 NFL Trade Deadline: One trade each team should make
Dallas Cowboys
The Falcons are clear sellers at the deadline and get a decent return for one of their best defenders. Neal hasn’t played his best season, but he is still young (25) and should really help a Dallas secondary that is aiming to be just good enough to top the abysmal NFC East.
New York Giants
The Giants are still looking to get younger so I could see them moving on from a guy like Kevin Zeitler.
In this move at the NFL trade deadline, the G-Men get a talented, young former first-round pick who should benefit from a change of scenery, a solid pick in this upcoming draft, and will have a chance to see what rookie Shane Lemieux can do as a starter.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles linebacking corps is both weak and thin. Bynes comes over for a bit of draft compensation to likely play a major role right away.
Washington Football Team
It may not seem to make the most sense to trade your two best players on an already struggling offensive line, but I think it’s something that could be done by Washington.
If you’re going to be bad, you might as well be really bad. That way they can earn a very high pick and accumulate draft capital to possibly move up to snag another highly-rated player.
Scherff will be a free agent after this season and I cannot see him resigning to this franchise right now while moving Moses will save the Football Team a lot of cap space for the next two seasons.
The Football Team seems to be going with youth across the board, and especially on their defensive line. With Chase Young, Dar’Ron Payne, Jonathan Allen, and Montez Sweat now in the fold, Kerrigan seems to be an afterthought.
