Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have struggled to fill the shoes of perennial Pro Bowler Marshall Yanda, who retired after last season. So what do they do? They go out and trade for another in 28-year-old Brandon Scherff.

It may not seem like the most logical move for Washington to give up their best player on a struggling offensive line, but Scherff is set to be a free agent after last season, and anything is better than nothing in return for him, especially given the state of the franchise.

Cincinnati Bengals

A.J. Green has been coming back around the last couple of weeks to show that he can still help an NFL team, but I think that is just great timing for the Bengals to maximize their return for him ahead of the NFL trade deadline. His age and injury history don’t fit in well with the rebuild going on in Cincinnati, while a second-round pick certainly does.

Giovani Bernard has been a super reliable back-up/passing-down back for the Bengals for years now, but I think it may be time for both sides to move on. Bernard could find a larger role elsewhere and Cincy could get some decent draft capital in return.

Carlos Dunlap is another Bengal veteran who could be on the move based on his playing time. If he’s not contributing now to this young and developing squad, they might as well get what they can for him at the 2020 NFL trade deadline.

John Ross is a player that has expressed his displeasure with his lack of usage in the current Bengals offense. Again, if not use him, move him. Also allowing him to get a fresh start with a new organization could work out well for both sides.

Cincinnati drafted two linebackers fairly early in the 2020 NFL Draft with Logan Wilson and Akeem Davis-Gaither. With those rookies to go along with young stud, Germaine Pratt, the Bengals could afford to move on from the veteran Josh Bynes to a linebacker-needy team.

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns secondary has been atrocious to this point in the season. With a disgruntled, young tight end who should still hold some value, why not take a couple of stabs at rectifying it at the NFL trade deadline? Boston could be a starter at free safety right away and Apple would provide some much-needed depth at corner with a return to Ohio.

Pittsburgh Steelers

It is very likely that the Steelers could trade for an inside linebacker with Devin Bush out for the season, but this destination for this player makes a ton of sense to me. Low risk, high reward move for Pittsburgh with Dwayne Haskins clearly on his way out of Washington.

He was a first-round pick just two drafts ago and has a fairly similar body type and style of play to Ben Roethlisberger. Why not bring him in and see if he can develop under Big Ben into a viable replacement option down the road?
