2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 31st Overall

player. 30. Pick Analysis. Georgia. Scouting Report. CB. Tyson Campbell. 31

This pick comes to the Jets via the Seattle Seahawks

The most important part of this mock draft for the New York Jets was obviously the selection of Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick. That being said, the Jets still have plenty of draft capital to work with. With the 31st pick of this mock draft, the Jets improve their defense with the selection of Georgia cornerback Tyson Campbell.

Campbell is a bit of an inconsistent player and it will hurt him at times. However, his combination of length, quickness and athleticism consistently stands out on tape. He is smooth in coverage and shows easy athleticism at all times. Combine this with his great length and impressive natural ball skills, and it is easy to get excited about Campbell as a prospect.

Obviously, Campbell needs to grow into a more consistent player in order to reach his ceiling, but he certainly has the overall skill-set needed to grow into a shutdown cornerback on the outside. This is a bit of a risky pick for New York, but it is one that could pay off in a big way.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 32nd Overall

Scouting Report. 32. player. 124. Pick Analysis. OL. Northwestern. Rashawn Slater

Nothing is more important for the Kansas City Chiefs than keeping Patrick Mahomes upright and healthy. The best way to do this is investing in the offensive line.

With the final first-round pick of this mock draft, the Chiefs address their offensive line need by bringing in Rashawn Slater. Slater is a tough and aggressive offensive tackle prospect who shines in the run game. He is not the most athletic offensive lineman in this draft class, but he is relatively quick in space.

Slater is a fantastic offensive lineman when he is allowed to play forward in an aggressive manner. This could make Slater a better fit as an interior player, but do not count him out as an offensive tackle prospect if the team that drafts him goes in that direction. No matter where the Chiefs would decide to play Slater, he would be a strong addition to their offensive line mix.
