Seattle Seahawks rookie Alton Robinson has been impressive so far in 2020.

After ranking 22nd in points allowed and 26th in yards allowed in 2019, it was clear the Seattle Seahawks needed improvement on the defensive side of the ball. Although their offense has been great with Russell Wilson at the helm, it was clear that the team needed an upgrade in terms of their defense.

Five games and five victories into the 2020 season, it seems that the team is on its way to becoming one of the most dominant teams in the NFL.

With the Seahawks’ offense continuing to shine on a week-to-week basis, as quarterback Russell Wilson plays at an MVP level, one must not forget about the newcomers who are making an impact for the Seahawks not only offensively but defensively as well.

One example of this would be rookie defensive end Alton Robinson, who impressed a lot of people during his debut game against the Dallas Cowboys. The former Syracuse star played well for a rookie, racking up three tackles and a sack against the Cowboys.

Robinson also had an impressive showing against the Vikings with three tackles during last Sunday’s game.

Robinson was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and players like him have to prove themselves even more in order to become an asset for an NFL team. Fortunately for him, he’s made quick progress thus far in fitting in with the Seahawks organization and can use this opportunity to improve as well.

The 22-year-old, 260-pound defensive end is already making waves with the Seahawks, and it’s clear that coaches are more aware of what Robinson is capable of doing.

It’s worth noting that Robinson garnering experience with a team like the Seahawks, for the success they’ve achieved this season, allows him to not only get noticed more but to make a substantial impact on one of the NFL’s best teams.

Robinson being on a team with veteran defensives players like Bobby Wagner and KJ Wright can help him grow even quicker. The former 2nd-team All-ACC selection is making an impact and proving he could be a top steal in the 2020 rookie class.
