Not in any way, shape, or form did I think that the Carolina Panthers would be 3-2 through the first five games of 2020, but here we are.

Matt Rhule is a good football coach.

Heck, I’ll say it — Matt Rhule is a great football coach. The guy turns programs around.

The Panthers were 0-2 to start the 2020 season, and then lost Christian McCaffrey to a lengthy ankle injury. Since then, McCaffrey has remained the team leader with four total touchdowns this season but the Panthers have ripped off three straight victories.

Matt Rhule is a great football coach.

The Panthers appear en route to exceeding anybody’s expectations this season. They might still be in position to select the top interior offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft.

We know the Panthers are going to run the ball a ton, so a player like Wyatt Davis makes a lot of sense for them as he’s a physical, nasty presence on the interior offensive line.

Carolina can keep riding Teddy Bridgewater at QB as long as they’re winning.
