6. Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings

The wide receiver class in this past NFL Draft was lauded as one with very good players at the top and excellent depth. It hasn’t disappointed, but it may be shocking to see Justin Jefferson leading the pack. Jefferson was a high floor talent coming out of LSU, and he’s shown he can be more than a slot specialist. He’s looked comfortable working vertically and catching the football through contact. Adding that to his route running ability and toughness, and he’s the 1B in Minnesota already.

7. Jedrick Wills, OT, Cleveland Browns

The Browns are off to a good start, and Jedrick Wills is a big part of that early success. Wills has looked comfortable in his switch from right tackle to the left side and hasn’t lost anything from his college tape. He’s technically sound, has quick and balanced pass sets, and gets after players in the run game. It finally looks like the Browns have hit a home run in round one.

8. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb comes in at WR2 on the list so far, and he’s been very productive in a Dallas offense that features so many weapons. Lamb has gotten his fair share of free releases in the slot, but he’s proven to be a crisp route runner in the slot and outside. He’s still tough as nails at the catch point and after the catch.

9. Jaylon Johnson, CB, Chicago Bears

The corner class in the 2020 NFL Draft hasn’t gotten off to a great start, especially the first-round selections. Bears’ second-round pick Jaylon Johnson has been the best of the bunch so far. He’s allowed a passer rating of less than 50 in coverage and has the tenacity at the line of scrimmage along with at the catch point. Johnson has frustrated some very good receivers in the first few weeks.

10. Jeremy Chinn, S, Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have used safety Jeremy Chinn everywhere so far this season, and it’s proving to be the right move. Chinn has lined up at linebacker, in the slot, in a deep shell, and near the box. He’s shown great closing speed and has been a reliable tackler as a box safety, and his recognition skills are improving nicely.
