Jaguars 2021 NFL Draft needs: Minshew Mania losing its luster
The rest
3. Running Back
The Jaguars got rid of former first-round pick Leonard Fournette, and although they could very well be tempted by this year’s running back class in the first round, I think we’ll see them keep an open mind about waiting until the second round or later.
Especially with as well as James Robinson has played, the Jaguars don’t need to force anything here, but they could use a more dynamic playmaker in the backfield, to be certain.
4. Defensive line
Former first-round pick Taven Bryan has not worked out for the Jaguars, and although the team has to be pleasantly surprised with what they’ve gotten from free agent pickup Adam Gotsis, this is a unit that could use a bit of an overhaul.
We might see the Jaguars spend some money here.
5. Edge rusher
This could be higher on the list depending on what the Jaguars do in free agency, but losing Yannick Ngakoue is a tough blow in the pass rush department.
Josh Allen has been tremendous so far in his young NFL career, and K’Lavon Chaisson is going to be able to provide some pass rush help, but the Jaguars could use another every-down rusher so that Chaisson’s versatility can be utilized all over the defensive formation.
