Draft Need #4 – Offensive Line

It was only a few years ago that the Dallas Cowboys were regarded as having one of the best offensive lines in football. The majority of those pieces still remain, but those that left have left behind gaping holes. On top of that, injuries have shown a lack of depth that is becoming a growing concern.

So far this season, the Cowboys have already placed La’el Collins and Cameron Erving on the IR list, and then this week against Cleveland Joe Looney went down as well. On top of that, Tyron Smith has also missed time as well.

While the game script of being behind in most games hasn’t helped, the Cowboys have been a bit slow in the run game and much of that could be due to the lack of depth we’ve now witnessed on their line.

Addressing this would take a mid-to-late round pick to add depth, very similar to how they added Tyler Biadasz this past year in the fourth round. Those types of picks are very valuable to teams and can make a big difference in the long run. They aren’t flashy, but still important. While fans might not love those types of picks, the Cowboys could use one or two more in the 2021 NFL Draft.
