Vikings: 2021 NFL Draft the time to find Kirk Cousins replacement?
The Vikings have done a good job of collecting offensive linemen early on in the NFL Draft in recent years, and this year could be no different.
With the tackle positions presumably filled for the foreseeable future with Brian O’Neill and Ezra Cleveland, along with Garrett Bradbury at the center, the Vikings could next look to attack the guard position.
Although Alaric Jackson plays left tackle for the Iowa Hawkeyes, he projects well according to many evaluators as an inside player at the next level, and he’s a natural scheme fit for Gary Kubiak’s offense having run some similar concepts in his time with the Hawkeyes.
Regardless of who the Vikings have at quarterback, they need players to protect and they need guys who can consistently get the running lanes open for Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison.
Jackson can help them do that, no question.
