The Denver Broncos would be so lucky to see Samuel Cosmi sitting there atop the second-round board in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Right now, Cosmi is considered just raw enough to potentially slide out of the first round, but he has first-round tools and work habits.

The Broncos are in a weird situation at the tackle position but they probably can’t afford to pass on tackles again in the 2021 NFL Draft. At a bare minimum, the Broncos can’t rely on 16 games from Ja’Wuan James and they can’t rely on consistently good play from Garett Bolles, who is a free agent anyway.

Tackle could be a huge area of emphasis for Denver in the 2021 offseason, and shouldn’t be ruled out by any means with their first-round pick.

Cosmi is a big, athletic player at the tackle position whose development at this stage is much further along than Bolles’ was. He could be redshirted for a year in Denver or step right into a starting role.
