Elijah Moore is proving to be an exciting 2021 NFL Draft prospect to watch.

There was not much for Ole Miss to get excited about in their 51-35 loss to Florida on Saturday afternoon. Kyle Trask, Kyle Pitts and the Gators’ offense abused their defense throughout the game, giving them almost no opportunity to come away with a victory.

That being said, wide receiver Elijah Moore had a massive game and is certainly a player who we should be paying attention to going forward. Moore hauled in 10 receptions for 227 yards in this one and he must be considered a legitimate 2021 NFL Draft prospect at the wide receiver position.

We pinpointed Moore as the Ole Miss 2021 NFL Draft prospect to watch this weekend. He has always shown a ton of natural talent and playmaking ability, but has been held back from putting up big numbers by an offense primarily focusing on the run. With Lane Kiffin now calling the plays for Ole Miss, Moore is set up for a massive breakout season.

Listed at 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, Moore does not have ideal size at the wide receiver. However, whatever he lacks in size, he makes up for in raw speed and natural playmaking ability. Moore is extremely quick in short spaces and explosive in the open field. He is a natural route runner who does a fantastic job of finding space in the middle of the field and is an absolute weapon with the ball in his hands.

Moore will likely be a slot-only option at the next level, but he undoubtedly has the exciting skill-set needed to be a playmaker in that role. His ability to use his speed and quickness to create space against man coverage and find the soft spots in zone is consistently impressive and will make him a weapon in any offensive attack.

While Moore is unlikely to ever be a first-round talent in a loaded 2021 NFL Draft class at the wide receiver position, with more performances like this, he could easily become the offensive playmaker to target in the middle rounds. Moore was incredibly impressive on Saturday and appears to be set up for a big season for Ole Miss. Keep an eye on this guy as we move forward.
