LB. Penn State. Micah Parsons. 5. 31. Pick Analysis. player. Scouting Report

The New York Giants are probably going to be a popular landing spot for Micah Parsons until they just don’t draft him or they are in line for an even higher pick and have a chance at Penei Sewell or Trevor Lawrence.

Parsons has been called the defensive Saquon Barkley by some, and for good reason.

Just like Barkley, Parsons is a freak of nature athletically and obviously playing at Penn State, the comparisons make plenty of sense.

As far as being an off-ball linebacker goes, Parsons is not the run-of-the-mill variety.

He can play all three downs, obviously, but his speed, range, cover skills, and blitzing ability combined with his aggressiveness and instincts make it seem like the Penn State defense has 12 players on the field at all times.

The Giants obviously need talent on both sides of the ball at pretty much every position, but Parsons is the kind of playmaker on defense who can raise all boats immediately.
