35. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DL. player. Alabama. Christian Barmore. 19

The Tennessee Titans found themselves a big-time steal in Jeffery Simmons, didn’t they?

A knee injury during the 2019 offseason caused Simmons to fall in the draft, and the Titans cashed in, taking him with the 19th overall pick when he could have easily gone in the top 10.

Simmons’ emergence has given the Titans a new star defensively, but they still need more in the pass rush department both inside and out.

The Titans moved on from Jurrell Casey this offseason, trading him to the Denver Broncos for salary cap relief. They also got desperate enough in the pass rush department to sign Jadeveon Clowney just before the start of the 2020 season.

So far, so good, for the Titans. They are 2-0 to start the year but there is help needed on the defensive front.

Christian Barmore is a player who has shown his potential for the Crimson Tide, but hasn’t established himself quite like other Alabama defensive linemen in recent years.

If Barmore can have a breakout 2020 season, he might be more in the Quinnen Williams realm than the Da’Ron Payne realm, but the Titans would undoubtedly love his physicality, length, strength, and quickness off the ball next to Jeffery Simmons.
