The Carolina Panthers get the top overall pick in this 2021 NFL Draft scenario, and there’s no doubt about what they would do if you’re asking me.
There are very few teams who could be picking number one overall in 2021 and not pick Trevor Lawrence. Maybe the Cincinnati Bengals with Joe Burrow, and maybe the Miami Dolphins with Tua Tagovailoa.
Otherwise, pretty much anyone else who would earn the top overall pick should be thinking about Lawrence.
Lawrence has been considered the next ‘Andrew Luck’ caliber prospect since he was a teenager coming out of high school, and he’s lived up to those lofty expectations and then some.
Not only does Lawrence have the physical skills, size, and arm talent to be an instant success. at the NFL level, but he’s got tremendous intangible qualities and is a hard worker who understands the game.
Along with Christian McCaffrey, DJ Moore, and Robby Anderson, Lawrence would give Matt Rhule an impressive core of offensive players to work with going forward in Carolina.
