2021 NFL Draft: The SEC is back in this 2-round mock draft
The Indianapolis Colts set out to upgrade their offense in a big way in the 2020 offseason, and they did just that.
They signed Philip Rivers to a one-year deal before using their top two picks in the 2020 NFL Draft on wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and running back Jonathan Taylor. Both Pittman and Taylor are going to play massive roles for the Colts in 2020, especially with Marlon Mack out for the 2020 season with an Achilles injury.
The one piece that is seemingly missing from this (mostly) young Colts offense? A tight end. Mo Alie-Cox has been solid thus far with seven receptions on eight targets for 131 yards, but Pat Freiermuth has the potential to be a featured weapon in any NFL passing game.
Freiermuth has been getting some ‘Baby Gronk’ comparisons for his tremendous advantage in terms of size and physicality at the catch point. In two seasons with Penn State, Freiermuth caught 15 touchdowns among his 69 total receptions.
