2021 NFL Draft: The SEC is back in this 2-round mock draft
Would the Las Vegas Raiders really use two consecutive first-round picks on the wide receiver position?
Why not?
Rashod Bateman has drawn some comparisons to Keenan Allen but he’s a much better downfield threat at this stage of his development than Allen was coming out of Cal.
Bateman was a monster on targets of 20-plus yards at Minnesota, and even with Henry Ruggs III, Bryan Edwards, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller on the roster, the Raiders could build an indefensible receiver group if they were able to bring in someone like Bateman to replace Tyrell Williams.
The Raiders obviously want to run the ball a lot, and they will continue to do so, but Bateman is too good of a value to pass up here and put on the outside with Ruggs, Edwards, Renfrow, and Waller already in place.
