2021 NFL Draft: The SEC is back in this 2-round mock draft
The Jacksonville Jaguars had to make the tough decision to trade away pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue to the Minnesota Vikings, but they aren’t going to complain about having the extra draft capital.
Josh Allen has developed phenomenally since coming in from Kentucky, and if healthy, K’Lavon Chaisson is going to be a stud and versatile weapon for the Jaguars’ defense.
With that said, this Jaguars defensive front is not quite finished being built, so why not add another athletic freak of nature up front?
Kwity Paye has been a tremendous edge rusher for the Michigan defense and is coming off his best season yet with 12.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, but the best is yet to come.
At 6-foot-5, 272 pounds, he’s a different kind of edge player than either Josh Allen or K’Lavon Chaisson, and he could play more of a down lineman role than standing up. Paye could play a similar role to what we’ve seen from guys like Michael Bennett in the Seattle defense while K’Lavon Chaisson can be the Bruce Irvin type.
