9. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Gregory Rousseau. 59. EDGE. Miami

After landing Ja’Marr Chase with their top pick in this 2021 NFL Draft scenario, the Dolphins manage to circle back with yet another top 10 selection (this one from the Houston Texans) and land one of the best pass rushers in the class.

And a Miami product, at that.

Gregory Rousseau was outstanding in 2019 for the Hurricanes, but opted out of the 2020 season so we won’t get to see what kind of improvements he’s made in his game from last year to this year.

Even with his production in 2019, there are questions about Rousseau’s game that have prevented him from being a Chase Young type of no-doubter in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Those questions revolve mostly around consistency and because Rousseau is still relatively new to being a pass rusher as a converted defensive back/receiver in high school.

His athleticism and upside are tremendous, however, and he would be a worthwhile gamble here for the Dolphins.
