Jacksonville Jaguars 7-round 2021 NFL mock draft: Replace Minshew?
2021 NFL Mock Draft: Round 3, 70th Overall
While the Jacksonville Jaguars seem to have found a hidden gem in undrafted rookie running back James Robinson, they could still use some talent infusion in the running back room. In the third round of this 2021 NFL mock draft, the opportunity to add an impact talent at the running back position presented itself with Kenneth Gainwell on the board.
Gainwell is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, showing fantastic elusiveness in the open field and explosive burst through the hole. Gainwell is undoubtedly a speed back who has fantastic big-play upside, but do not sleep on his ability to impact the game with power. He is also an exciting pass-catcher out of the backfield who can certainly make an impact in the passing game as well. Pairing Gainwell with Robinson gives the Jags an exciting backfield duo going forward.
2021 NFL Mock Draft: Round 4, 101st Overall
Jaelan Phillips is a former five-star prospect who entered his college career as an exciting edge rusher with massive upside. While his college career has not exactly gone according to plan, Phillips is playing well for Miami this season and could certainly be an interesting EDGE prospect by the end of the season.
Phillips is extremely quick off of the ball and explosive around the edge. He can make an impact as both a pass rusher and against the run. This would certainly be a bit of a projection pick, but Phillips is a talented player who is worth taking a shot on in this range.
2021 NFL Mock Draft: Round 4, 115th Overall
Roger McCreary is a quick, long and athletic cornerback prospect who shows impressive upside in press coverage. He has shown the ability to make an impact on the outside and as a slot defender, and shows plenty of ability in kick coverage. McCreary is certainly an interesting cornerback prospect who could provide quality depth to the Jags’ secondary.
