2021 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, 6th Overall

Justin Fields. 1. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 812. QB. Ohio State

The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the sixth overall pick in this 2021 NFL mock draft and instantly find themselves with a tough decision. If they pick No. 1 and can take Lawrence, moving on from Minshew will probably be easy. Anything else will force a difficult decision for the team.

In the end, a guy like Justin Fields has more long-term upside and can take the Jaguars to greater places than Minshew. If he is available when the Jags go on the clock, they should bite the bullet and make him their new franchise quarterback.

Fields is an impressive dual-threat quarterback prospect who can create plays with his legs and his arm. He shows high-level arm talent and fantastic accuracy to all levels of the field. Fields is also a great improviser who does a great job of making plays out of nothing. Simply put, Fields is a high-level quarterback prospect who has massive upside at the next level. The Jacksonville Jaguars should be aggressive and improve at quarterback if the opportunity presents itself.

2021 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, 20th Overall

Pick Analysis. Texas. 1. 851. Scouting Report. OT. Samuel Cosmi. player

The Jaguars’ offensive tackle duo of Cam Robinson and Jawaan Taylor is strong and has a ton of long-term upside. However, Robinson will hit free agency after the 2020 season and even if the Jags bring him back, an eventual move inside could make sense for their current left tackle.

With this in mind, offensive tackle could be looked at as a minor position of need for the Jags and they address the situation with their second first-round selection. Samuel Cosmi is an athletic offensive tackle prospect who has a ton of upside as a pass protector at the next level. He is a great value pick in this range and would be an important part of their future success.
